“German pianist Ulrich Roman Murtfeld visited Brazil for the third time for concerts and master classes for young Brazilian pianists…He started his concert with a sonata by Joseph Haydn in B flat major Hob. XVI/41…with great confidence and sensitivity…Beethoven’s Sonata No. 21 in C major op. 53 was handled masterfully …After Ravel's ‘Miroirs’, where the pianist was again in his element, he interpreted ‘Las Americas’ by the contemporary Brazilian pianist and composer Almeida Prado, a composition demanding the utmost from the pianist… He also dedicated Debussy’s ‘Undine’ and ‘General Lanvin’ to an enthusiastic audience…The tournée will take him from São Paulo to Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília and Joinville. He expressed his respect and gratitude at being able to convey the art of piano playing to young Brazilians in master classes…”
