"A masterly piano concert"

“The concert opened with Beethoven’s Sonata Nr. 7 D-major op. 10 Nr. 3, where he immediately gave proof of his skills. The performance of ‘Klavierstücke op. 118’ by Johannes Brahms was distinguished by precision and fine interpretation. In the second part of the concert he premiered ‘Pélerinage’ by the Brazilian pianist and composer Almeida Prado- a profound and specific oeuvre with many novel tone colours… In closing, the artist played five pieces from ‘Préludes’ by Debussy…here he exceeded himself. Murtfeld convinced with determination to shape, thanks to his pianistic abilities, with intellect and wit, with logical clearness and total identification and musicality. Like this only a master concludes his piano evening.”
