He performs his part with dynamic commitment and organically, and in that way produces a well thought-through interpretation for each work. His concert embraced a wide range from Bach’s Prélude and Fugue in G minor BWV 861 to Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata and Liszt’s Fantasy and Fugue with the theme B-A-C-H (B flat), rendered with masterly verve. Prokofiev’s driving Toccata Opus 11 ensured an explosive finale.”
